Doctoral degrees were awarded to Don Christy (dissertation: Can We Move from Conflict to Cooperation: Water Resources Planning in the Southeastern United States), Jessica Joyner (dissertation: Investigating Coastal Microbial Communities: Detecting Introductions of Enteric Bacteria and Changes in Coral Microbiome), Rachel Katz (dissertation: Evaluating the Relations Between Fish Population Dynamics, Streamflow, and Geomorphic Characteristics at Multiple Spatial Scales), Kristy Segal McDowell (dissertation: Examining the Effects of Pesticides on Amphibians in Costa Rican Artificial Wetlands: From Individuals to Communities), Kyle McKay (dissertation: Informing Flow Management Decisions in the Middle Oconee River) and Carrie Straight (dissertation: Reproduction, Migration, and Prospects for Persistence of a Reintroduced Population of an Imperiled Riverine Fish, Robust Redhorse (Moxostoma robustum)).

Receiving master’s degrees were Casey Harris (thesis: Effects of Storm-Driven Surface Runoff and Land Cover on Salmonella and Escherichia Coli in Vegetable Farm Irrigation Ponds in Georgia, USA) and Rachel King (thesis: Spatial Ecology and Wetland Use of Aquatic Turtles in the Coastal Plain of Georgia).
