The University of Georgia Odum School of Ecology recognized eleven graduates on Dec. 7, 2018, at convocation exercises in Athens. Recent graduate Anya Brown, who received her doctorate this summer, delivered the convocation address.
Receiving her doctoral degree was Maura Dudley, who studied under the direction of Distinguished Research Professor Catherine Pringle. Her dissertation was entitled Assessing the Importance of a Dominant Understory Shrub, Rhododendron maximum, to Riparian Forest and Headwater Stream Ecosystems of the Southern Appalachian Mountains.
Ten undergraduates received bachelor’s degrees.
