Alexa Nicole Gusmerotti and William Harrison Miller received the 2014 Georgia Power Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award for research conducted at University of Georgia HorseShoe Bend Ecology Experimental Site. Gusmerotti and Miller jointly presented a paper, “The Energetic Benefits of Huddling in Ochrotomys nuttalli,” at the annual meeting of the Georgia Academy of Science in Augusta, Georgia, on March 28, 2014. HorseShoe Bend, established in 1965, is a 35-acre research facility that is part of the UGA Odum School of Ecology.
