Job responsibilities include:

• Perform initial setup, software installation, testing, and security hardening of computer server systems.
  
  
• Perform daily operations of managing server systems.
  
  
• Maintain software.
  
  
• Design, prepare software specifications and codes software programs for limited-scale to complex interactive systems.
  
  
• Troubleshoot hardware/software problems and system failures.
  
  
• Monitor and evaluate operating efficiency, analyze hardware/software performance and tuning.
  
  
• Perform long-range and capacity planning studies to determine the type of resources needed to support expected volume, types of application systems and operating assurance.
  
  
• Monitor systems backup procedures and executes recovery operations when necessary.
  
  
• Prepare documentation of systems and software for permanent records.
  
  
• Advise and train clients regarding server systems.
  
  
• Additional duties as assigned.
