This exhibit pays tribute to artist Martha Odum, the wife of Odum School’s namesake and founder Eugene Odum. Writing in the introduction to a 1997 catalogue of Martha’s work published by the Georgia Museum of Art, Gene said, “Art and ecology have been a partnership in the Odum family for more than fifty years. Martha, in addition to being a gifted designer and craftsperson, was a landscape painter who was able to capture the ‘essence of place’ in her watercolors.”
